Enjoying the sun after a long day from Salvan over Mont de l'Arpille.
The Col is on the route from Martigny to Chamonix. We stopped here for a night and got ourselves a simple and small double room for 78 swiss francs including breakfast.
You can get double rooms with washbasin and en-suite toilets or share a dormitory - it caters to all.
The dinner, if you went for the 'demi-pension' (half board) is a hearty four course.
Technical not a mountain hut, but like the hotel in Salvan is included here as it was part of a two day hike we did. btw - the service is very friendly and helpful.
