This CAS (Swiss Alpine Club) cabane was done up recently and now has a mixture of dormitories and double rooms. When we were there it was packed with foreign groups (Brits and Belgiums) doing the Haute Route, as well as, a few families with kids. The dormitories are mostly with 4 beds and 1 with 10 beds. The double rooms are tiny. The showers last for exactly 2 minutes and cost 4 Swiss Francs! Tip - take along a 20 Euro centime (that is what they use to feed the meter!) and stop the shower when you are putting on the shampoo and soap! The food was generous and good - soup, salad, spagetti , desert. Double room half board (dinner and breakfast) set us back 70 Swiss francs per person.There are great views of the Mont Blanc massif, but the Medran cablecar running just below the hut does somewhat impair the tranquility of the place.
